Telangana is the newly formed 29th state of India. Telangana was formed in 2014. The chief minister of Telangana is K. Chandra Shekar Rao. The ruling government of Telangana is "Telangana Rashtriya Samithi".

Initiatives of Telangana briefly explained

  • Dharani

The Telangana government intends to establish and manage a new Integrated Land Records Management System ("Dharani") that combines land administration and registration services and serves as a single source of truth for all land parcels, performing all land-related functions in an integrated, efficient, and effective manner, with all actions taking place in near real-time. Dharani also offers a Geographic Information Solution (GIS) system that visualizes land record data.

  • Kanti Velugu
Under the banner of 'Kanti Velugu,' the State Government has embarked on a noble project to achieve "avoidable blindness-free" status by performing a Comprehensive and Universal Eye Screening for the State's whole population. The program began on August 15th, 2018.
  • Rythu Bandhu scheme
To increase agricultural productivity and revenue for farmers and stop the vicious cycle of rural debt. The Agriculture Investment Support Scheme, also known as Rythu Bandhu, was implemented in the 2018-19 Kharif season to help farmers with their initial investment needs. Investment Support for Agriculture and Horticulture Crops is granted twice a year, for Rabi (Yasangi) and Kharif (Rainy) seasons, in the form of a grant of Rs. 5,000 per acre per season for the procurement of inputs such as Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Labor, and other investments. This is India's first direct farmer investment support scheme, with cash distributed directly to farmers.
  • KCR Kit

For pregnant mothers, the state government has developed the KCR Kit Scheme. This scheme is only available to pregnant women for a maximum of two delivery. This program is available to women who give birth at a government hospital. The primary goal of this program is to offer all required things for pregnant mothers and newborn babies. Pregnant mothers will receive financial help of Rs. 12,000 in three phases under this scheme. The government will provide an additional Rs. 1000 in the case of a baby girl. Baby oil, soaps for mother and child, mosquito net, dresses, handbags, children's toys, diapers, powder, shampoo, sarees, towels and napkins, and a baby bed are all included in the KCR Kit.

  • Mission Kakatiya

The government's flagship scheme, which cost Rs 22,000 crore, sought to restore roughly 46,000 tanks in five years to give irrigation to about 25 lakh acres. As of February 2017, restoration work on almost 20,000 tanks had begun, with about 5,000 tanks having been completed. In the 2015-16 and 2016-17 budgets, the Telangana government approved more than Rs. 4,600 crore for this effort. Desolation, repair of broken sluices and weirs, restoration of old tank bunds, stone revetments, and plugging seepages are all part of the Mission.

Mission Kakatiya aims to improve the groundwater table, reduce farm sector power consumption, increase yields, boost livestock growth, and revitalize the rural economy as a whole. According to the ICRISAT study, applying silt to farm fields saved between Rs 2,500 and Rs 3,750 on fertilizers and pesticides. Cotton yields increased by 1,000 kg per hectare.

  • Mission Bhagiratha

A massive 1.30 lakh km stretch of pipelines will be installed as part of the Telangana Drinking Water Supply Project to relieve the thirst of Telangana towns and villages as well as provide water for industrial uses. Surface water from perennial rivers and big reservoirs would be used as a raw water source for this project. Mission Bhagiratha, which is expected to cost Rs 35,000 crore, aims to ensure that no female member of a home has to trek kilometers to carry a pot of water. This flagship program aims to supply 100 liters per capita per day (LPCD) of treated and piped water to every household in rural areas, 135 LPCD in municipalities, and 135 LPCD to every household in urban areas.

  • Haritha Haram

Telangana Haritha Haram, a flagship program of the Telangana Government envisages increasing the present 24% tree cover in the state to 33% of the total geographical area of the state 2. The thrust areas to achieve the above are two-fold one, Initiative in notified forest areas, and the other, initiatives in an area outside the notified in the forest area.

  • Kalyana laxmi/ Shaadi Mubarak

To help financially distressed SC/ST and minority households, the government has decided to grant brides from Telangana State a one-time cash aid of Rs. 1,00,116 at the time of marriage. Accordingly, the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubaarak Schemes for unmarried girls who have completed 18 years of age at the time of marriage and whose parental income does not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum have been implemented with effect from October 2, 2014, for unmarried girls who have completed 18 years of age at the time of marriage and whose parental income does not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum.

  • Arogya Laxmi

Through Anganwadi centers, the Telangana government distributes one nutritious meal each day to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, as well as children under the age of six. Honorable Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao officially launched the scheme on January 1, 2015.
Women will receive 200 mL of milk every month for 25 days and one egg every day with their lunch. In addition to a 2.5-kilogram meal packet, children aged seven months to three years are given 16 eggs every month. For children aged 3 to 6, one egg is provided each day, along with rice, dal, veggies, and snacks.

In the previous year, the scheme covered 18,96,844 breastfeeding moms, 5,18,215 babies, and 21,58,479 pregnant women, costing Rs 627.96 crore. The total number of food items provided under the scheme has also increased in all categories.

  • Asara Pension

The Telangana government has implemented the " Aasara " pensions as part of its welfare initiatives and social safety net plan, with the goal of ensuring a stable life with dignity for all the impoverished.
The ‘Aasara' pension scheme is designed to help the most vulnerable members of society, such as the elderly and infirm, people living with HIV/AIDS, widows, incapacitated weavers, and toddy tappers, who have lost their means of livelihood as they grow older, meet their basic needs in order to live a dignified and secure life.
The Telangana government announced " Aasara ", a new pension program, raising the monthly income for the elderly, widows, weavers, toddy tappers, and AIDS patients from Rs. 200 to Rs. 1000, and for disabled people from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1500.
Senior citizens, widows, beedi workers, filaria patients, single women, handloom weavers, toddy tappers, and AIDS victims would get an Aasara pension of Rs. 2,016 for 2020-21, and Rs. 3,016 for handicapped pensions.

  • Housing for the poor

The Telangana government's signature effort aims to give excellent and respectable housing to the needy. In Hyderabad and other metropolitan areas, the ‘housing for the poor' plan calls for two and three-story structures with two-bedroom flats, while in rural regions, they will be developed as standalone cottages. IDH Colony in Bhoidguda, Secunderabad, has started a pilot program. 396 apartments, each with two bedrooms, a hall, and a kitchen, are being built in 32 blocks of G+2 on 580 square yards at a cost of Rs 37 crore, or Rs 7.9 lakh per unit.

  • Land distribution to Dalits

Another important government welfare scheme is the supply of 3 acres of agricultural land to landless SC women, as well as irrigation facilities, land development, and other agricultural inputs for their long-term survival. In the first year, the government spent Rs 94 crore to distribute 2,524 acres of land to 959 Dalits.

  • Rice Distribution

From January 1, 2015, a total of 87.57 lakh eligible families, or about 2,86,00,000 (two crore eighty-six lakh) beneficiaries, will get rice in the amount of 6 kg per person at the rate of Re. 1 per kg, with no limit on the number of family members. For this, more than 1.80 lakh MT of rice per month would be required. A total of Rs. 1,597 was spent on the subsidy. The family income limit has been raised to Rs. 1.50 lakh in rural regions and Rs. 2 lakh in urban areas to determine BPL family eligibility. In addition, the land ceiling has been raised to 3.5 acres of wetland and 7.5 acres of dry land.
With an additional outlay of Rs 120 crore, the government began delivering superfine rice, or Sanna Biyyam, to schools and dormitories, benefiting 56 lakh children annually. For this aim, more than 12,500 MT of rice has been provided.

  • Strengthening security apparatus

The Telangana Government has approved a budget of Rs. 271 crore for the acquisition of 4,433 cars for the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Departments in order to protect and secure the lives of its inhabitants. 3,883 automobiles with modern technologies have already been acquired out of this total. A total of 550 new vehicles have been supplied to the state's remaining districts. In addition, Cyberabad Police have been given 1500 motorcycles to respond within 10 minutes of receiving a complaint or call. The state government has set up Rs.75,000, Rs.50,000, and Rs.25,000 per month for each police station in the metropolis, district headquarters, and villages. The government has launched a CCTV initiative in Hyderabad, with one lakh cameras expected to be placed in 2015-16. The proposed Command and Control Centre will be connected to all of these cameras.

  • She Teams

The Telangana government has formed a seven-member committee led by IAS officer Poonam Malakondaiah to advise it on the measures to be taken for the safety and security of women and girls, in light of the rising incidents of crime against women. The committee's report included 77 suggestions. One of them is the formation of SHE teams.
The teams maintain a tab on the eve-teasers and stalkers in populated settings. Initially put up in Hyderabad and Cyberabad police Commissionerates, they were expanded to all the Telangana districts on 1 April following the good results. ​​​

  • Sheep Distribution

This plan boosted the rural economy and is aimed at the upliftment of the state's Yadava/Golla/Kuruma families, who number around 4 lakh. Providing financial assistance to these talented families for large-scale sheep rearing will aid not only their economic development but also the state's ability to provide enough meat. It is also hoped that Telangana will become a meat export powerhouse in the near future. With a total project cost of Rs. 5,000 crores, traditional shepherd families will be assisted with the delivery of (20+1) sheep at a 75 percent subsidy.

  • Softnet

The Society for Telangana Network is a program that gives high-quality education and training to organizations that want to achieve last-mile connectivity by leveraging satellite communications and information technology. SoFTNET broadcasts four channels using the GSAT 8 satellite. Telangana's distant learning, agriculture extension, rural development, telemedicine, and e-government needs are met by T-SAT NIPUNA and T-SAT VIDYA. SoFTNET and ISRO have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding, which took effect on September 28, 2016. It also started coaching programs for TSPSC Group II Services candidates, in addition to the commencement of the TS-Class program. SoFTNET has also made a name for itself.

  • Task

A one-of-a-kind skill development project from the IT, E&C Department aimed at boosting the quality of college graduates by instilling industry-grade skills. Since TASK's beginning in June 2015, over 800 universities have registered with the program, and over 1 lakh youngsters from around Telangana have been trained. For Revamping Skilling Initiatives for Youth in Telangana, TASK was also awarded the coveted SKOCH Platinum award.

  • T- Fiber

T-Fiber intends to build a scalable, durable, resilient, secure, and long-lasting digital infrastructure to serve a variety of government and service provider services, applications, and content. It is aimed to achieve the goal of ‘Digital Telangana,' with a cutting-edge network infrastructure. Every family, government, and business organization in Telangana has access to affordable and dependable high-speed broadband connectivity. T-Fiber connects over 3.5 million consumers and institutions in Telangana to high-speed broadband. T-Fiber will also serve as the foundation for a variety of services such as e-governance, e-health, e-commerce, e-banking, video on demand, and so on.

  • We Hub- Womene Entreprenuers Hub

WE Hub is a start-up incubator for women-owned businesses. WE Hub strives to empower female entrepreneurs with breakthrough ideas, solutions, and entities in growing technological fields. Along with the Service sector, WE Hub will support under-explored / undiscovered sectors. WE Hub's mission and purpose are to assist women to thrive in their businesses by removing financial, cultural, and support barriers.
  • Dalit empowerment programme
The Telangana government has declared that under the Chief Minister Dalit Empowerment Programme, it will provide financial support of Rs 10 lakh to eligible Dalit beneficiaries in a first-of-its-kind programme.
The initiative would serve 100 households from each of the state's 119 Assembly constituencies in the first phase, with a budget of Rs 1,200 crore.
"The CM Dalit Empowerment Programme would improve the lives of Dalits much more," the TRS administration announced on Sunday.
The funds will be wired directly to the recipients' bank accounts.
